Dr. Juan José Daboub Joins Dorado Partners as Vice Chairman
Washington, DC – Dorado Partners LLC, a Dorado Group company, welcomes its new Vice Chairman, Juan José Daboub, Ph.D., to the executive personnel. With a remarkable background in the private and public arenas, including in the power sector, Dr. Daboub brings a wealth of experience and distinguished track record of development and project work throughout Latin America and in several regions around the globe.
His pivotal position within the company will bring him into contact with key decision makers in the industry, strengthen the executive team, foster growth and increase our market presence worldwide.

In order to have competitive and sustainable power, the energy mix is crucial,” Dr. Daboub said. “Dorado Group has the resources and the track record to design, develop, run, operate and own all kinds of power generation endeavors around the world. I am excited about joining Dorado Group and contribute in identifying opportunities that will further satisfy the demand for electricity that exists in Latin America and in several other countries around the world.”

Prior to joining Dorado Group, Dr. Daboub was elected Managing Director of the World Bank Group where he was responsible for operations in Latin America, Africa, Asia and the Middle East. He is the Founding Chairman and CEO of The Daboub Partnership as well as the Global Adaptation Institute. He has taught at Princeton University and actively participates in nonprofit organizations, including as Chair of the World Economic Forum Global Agenda Council on Climate Change and member of the Latin American Board of the University of Notre Dame, just to name a few.
Dr. Daboub received his Bachelor’s of Science, Master’s of Science and a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from North Carolina State University. He is married with four children.
